About Us...

Guagus Enterprises LLC was formed in the spring of 2013. The name comes from the Narraguagus River & Bay which runs through Cherryfield & Milbridge. The photo below is the Narraguagus Light House. Initially it was formed as a welding shop, tree service and some various odd jobs service. Due to some unpredictable circumstances in late 2018, I had to start taking the business in other directions.
I am Eli Brown, a USCG veteran and Eagle Scout. I logged many years of EMS experience, a few years of firefighting and law enforcement experience. I also worked as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. I enjoy the outdoors and planting “freedom seeds.” I'm a member of "BAA", Buglers Across America which is a group of buglers who strive to provide bugling services free of charge for veteran's funerals, ceremonial details and other qualifying events. I have played TAPS for many funerals and ceremonies over the last 25+ years. The horn I use belonged to a paratrooper to jumped in to Normandy on D-Day. I had the privilege to know Howard Haskell and play with him in the Cherryfield Band.
The business was accredited with the Better Business Bureau for nearly 5 years and maintained an A+ rating with no complaints, however the BBB dropped the accreditation because of the new avenue the business has taken. Although it was explained to the BBB that the reasons were due to the advice of doctors and this decision was made for medical reasons, it mattered not and they dropped it. This is the reason is it no longer accredited with them.
